Bring a Relative to School Night

Bring a Relative to School Night this year was a great success, thank you so much to all who attended.  It was great getting to watch the children teach their parents all of the lessons they have been working on this fall.  Just by observing, I could see the children beaming with pride as they showed off their hard work.

Rocky Creek Farm

Last week the Sourdough Montessori kids took a field trip to Bozeman's Rocky Creek Farm to enjoy the last few weeks of Fall.  At the farm they made apple cider, picked pumpkins, climbed a mountain of hay bales, and went on a hay ride.  Both the children and the teachers had great time!

Ryan & Maya are excited about the tractors.

Christy takes a group of children on the hay ride.

It didn't take long for the children to find their perfect pumpkin.

Hazel & Luka.

Nolan watches our ride find a good spot to turn around.

Turner & Maya.

We learned how to make apple cider.

First you have to crush the apples into small pieces.

Next you fill a sack with all of the apple chunks and put it in a press.

Last, you use the press to squeeze all of the juice out of the sack, and collect it in a bucket.

Field Trips are so much fun!
